Dustin was looking for a custom surf rod to use for throwing swimming plugs and soft plastics for Striped Bass, but also versatile enough to use for long range False Albacore and Bonito.
This build starts with a 10ft 1-3oz CTS Vapor Trail blank and features a Winn Grip Tape handle, custom painted Fuji DNPSD reel seat and single foot Fuji Alconite K Guides. Simple trim bands and guide wraps keep the rod clean and classic, with a False Albacore decal as a nice touch.
